Travelling gives one a great lifestyle and leads one on an adventure everyday. It is the best education that one can get, where you learn many things that cannot be taught in classrooms or learnt from textbooks.
Each person travels for a different reason. Some travel for the sake of pleasure, while some travel to get away from whatever burdens them. Some travel to gain inspiration for their works like writers and artists while others do so to expand their horizons be it businessmen, ambassadors, etc. It enables one to see firsthand the art created by the world's master while a person visits places. The world outside becomes a little clearer that what it would have been otherwise. To me, the best thing about travelling is the fact that it is something different from books. It is life firsthand. We get to see how life goes on in a place that we are visiting. It gives us time to relax, reflect and think and sometimes we may return back to our lives with a view or zeal that we didn't have before.
It makes us more knowledgeable and tolerant because we learn or get to know about different and new things, some which we might not even have known to be existing, be it culture, traditions, customs, language, food, beliefs, etc. for they all differ from place to place and how to accept them and live with them. For example, travelling in India or any other multicultural society feels like we are travelling through a whole continent for there exists a "Melting Pot" of people. There exists "Beauty in Diversity." It makes one appreciate the beauty and fullness of life as we get to see and experience it firsthand. I think of it as worthy of any investment one might have to make towards it. It changes you like no other for every experience is different and treasured.
Till now, I have usually traveled from school on trips or to holy places with family. I love travelling because I get a chance to learn more about its history, culture, people and stories and try out new things to eat. I always associate places that I like with Food. I love taking photographs everywhere I visit because it helps me keep the memories alive forever.
Travelling all over the world is one very important dream of mine, be it alone or with friends and family or for any other reason. It would be the first thing that I would do if I win a Lottery ticket. My
Journalism Lecturer always told us – “ Don’t be tourists, be Explorers.”
So lets "Explore and Experience and Treasure the world."
